Cloud2 SharePoint Event – Thank you!

Here at Cloud2 we’d just like to say a big thank you to everyone who came down to our SharePoint in Healthcare event at Kettering General Hospital yesterday. We had a fantastic day, it was great to see some new faces as well as catch up with some old friends, and we hope that you all learned as much as we did.

Next Wednesday the 21st of September, Cloud2 will be hosting a day-long event at Kettering General Hospital to show what SharePoint can do within the NHS, and how solutions Cloud2 and their partners have developed can streamline and even simplify current clinical and HR processes.

Cloud2 Attending SharePoint Saturday 2011

SharePoint Saturday UK Following the success of SharePoint Saturday 2010, this year the event is being repeated, and Cloud2 are pleased to be attending. SharePoint Saturday 2011 starts at 8:00am on the 12th November and rounds up at 5:15pm.

This free event will be held in Nottingham at the East Midlands Conference Centre. The EMCC is close to East Midlands airport, Nottingham train station and the M1 motorway with easy links to the M6.

Organisers Brett Lonsdale (Lightning Tools), Mark Macrae (ID Live), and Tony Pounder (ID Live) are extending an invitation to anybody who’s interested in coming along to learn a bit more about SharePoint. If you’ve never been to a SharePoint Saturday before, expect a day of great international speakers including Microsoft employees, SharePoint MVPs and SharePoint community experts, great content – and of course a SharePint or two!

Cloud2 and Kodak Teaming Up For Health Informatics 2011

Cloud2 are teaming up with Kodak to attend this years NHS North West Health Informatics Conference at Heron’s Reach in Blackpool on the 18th-19th October.

Speakers from NHS North West as well as The Department of Health and private sector companies will be offering talks and presentations about Informatics and technology within the healthcare sector. There will also be practical show case sessions to build an understanding of the wealth of technology based initiatives.

We look forward to demonstrating what SharePoint and Kodak Capture Pro Software can do together, and we hope that if you make it down to the conference that you will come and see for yourself what the future of document capture and storage in SharePoint could look like. Ourselves and Colin Labrum, Software Sales Manager for Kodak will be attending both days and look forward to answering your questions and showing you just what our technology and hardware can do.

Cloud2 5k Run for Cancer Research

The employees of Cloud2 are all training hard to take part in the Bradford 5k City Run on the 2nd of October to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

The City Run takes place every year in Lister Park, and we are all looking forward to beating our times and raising money for this very worthwhile charity.

Director Simon Hudson says: “In my case, this would be the 2^nd 5k I have run, the last being when I was living in Florida in the US and also ran to support a cancer charity (my mum died of lung cancer). I’m delighted and impressed that my wife and daughter, both of whom do some work for Cloud2, have also opted to participate and Ella is already further along with the training than I am.

I think it’s great to get the whole company behind something like this – we are part of the Bradford community as well as being a great team within the company – anything we can do to enhance this gets my vote and this time I choose to vote with my feet.”

Cloud2 exhibiting at Techmesh Expo 2011

Cloud2 will be joining companies across Yorkshire eager to find out more about the latest trends and developments in IT & Telecoms to attend EXP O 2011. The exhibition, which is being held at the Royal Armouries on the 13^th October, is organised by techmesh, the region’s only dedicated IT & Telecoms member network.

EXPO 2011 provides a valuable insight into how the world of technology is changing in today’s fast paced environment. Over 40+ exhibitors; a techpanel – a seasoned panel of experts debating hot topics; the interactive zone a lively, buzzing focal point of the exhibition where visitors can watch, listen and play with the very latest in technology; a SME surgery for one to one advice from our industry experts.

Techmesh is working closely with the Chambers across our region along with a number of other significant networks to promote the event, which is not only great news for the IT & Telecoms sector, but for the region as a whole.

HC2011 conference and exhibition

Two weeks today we’ll be heading down to Birmingham to attend the HC2011 conference and exhibition from the 5th to the 7th April.

We’ll be there for the entire three day event, and would love it if you came to visit us at our stand. We’re stand no. 152, and we’ll be demoing our Hadron Solution Accelerator, as well as our new Rapid BI solution and, of course, our Zoostorm SL8 tablet computers.
