Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust have implemented the Cloud2 NHS SharePoint Solution Accelerator Hadron SA to manage their policies and procedures with the Document Centre.

IM&T Project Manager Clare Jones says of the solution: “Being pretty much “off the shelf”, it just requires local configuration – this allowed us to have a very short implementation timescale – our first workshop was the 4^th February and we went live on 31^st March. We also implemented a number of the IG add-ons enabling us to automatically monitor when documents require review, are due to expire etc. and set up a feature whereby members of staff acknowledge receipt of new or updated policies. The only thing I would say is take care how you implement notifications of the availability of new policies / documents and consider the impact on your email server but Cloud2 can advise on this.

The big benefit of using Cloud2 is that they have a lot of NHS experience already and have or at least understand the type of requirements you may come up with. They will endeavour to accommodate any changes and as far as I understand, using their development methodologies this would not normally mean a protracted development timescale.”
