The Solution Accelerator includes areas for the major needs of trusts.
Hadron SA is a feature rich intranet portal solution designed for NHS organisations. It has been deployed at many trusts, including large acute trusts, PCTs, Strategic Health Authorities and Mental Health and Partnership trusts. It provides an extensive & deep Information Architecture, allowing easy location of content, collaboration across an organisation and an extended feature set to support many common needs within an intranet. It also acts as a well formed Application Portal to support both legacy and new applications.
By focusing on configuration of standard SharePoint components where ever possible, rather than use of custom code, Hadron SA can be extended easily using internal resources or qualified partners and without any lock in to Cloud2.
By default, it includes:
- Document management functionality, including a range of content types and planned library and meta data design and a strongly developed approach for Policies and Procedures
- Areas for staff and directorates, with associated content and collaboration tools. The Solution Accelerator provides a template for a 2 stage directorate area for each directorate. The ‘upper’ area consists of information and content about and by the Directorate for use by other parts of the organisation. The ‘lower’ area comprises information, content and work sites for members of the directorate and is not accessible by non-directorate members.

- A range of knowledge management features,
- Specific areas for Programme management and Business Intelligence.
- These are complemented by our extended enterprise search features, including faceted search, people search, etc.
The solution accelerator works closely with our Delivery methodology to provide a very rapidly deployed portal that typically addresses 70% of the needs of Phase 1 NHS SharePoint needs; provides a well-defined IA on which further application s can be built and uses almost no custom code to ensure long term supportability without being tied to any one partner.
