Secure Message Store for Confer Launched

Cloud2 are proud to reveal the latest addition to the Confer family of NHS SharePoint products.

The Secure Message Store add-on for Confer allows doctors who may not have secure NHS email accounts to share documents and emails with other members of their Trust without compromising on security.

The Secure Message Store enables GPs to send and receive important messages without calling the security of patient data into question. The Message Store is designed specifically to comply with Data Protection Act requirements to keep patient information safe.

Providing GPs with more information about referrals would be a more effective strategy for cutting costs and improving quality than setting up referral management centres, according to the King’s Fund.

An investigation by the think-tank found that referral management centres were failing to deliver savings and that some schemes could undermine quality by delaying access to specialists or misdirecting referrals. [Read more...]
