The biggest single importer of produce in the UK, IPL, has made the tactical decision to implement a new Hadron 8020 intranet solution, to improve communications, collaboration and to provide a platform to support the organisation’s objectives as they look to better respond to their clients’ needs and develop and improve services based on their feedback.
Improving communication and collaboration across the organisation’s specialist teams were the organisation’s prime aims as they look to deliver a peerless level of service. Having identified this requirement, Cloud2’s solutions were evaluated to gauge the suitability of existing intranet products for IPL’s needs. The Cloud2 team were able to demonstrate how a Hadron 8020 intranet solution accelerator would be able to accommodate the organisation’s specific set of requirements.
Formed in 2004 by joint shareholders Bakkavor and Teresa Hermanos, IPL was subsequently purchased by Asda in 2009. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Asda and consequently part of the world’s leading retailer Walmart, IPL is one of the largest enterprises to choose Hadron 8020 to improve their ways of working.
IPL’s communications manager, Lucy Armitage, said: “We’ve already seen the huge potential of Hadron 8020. The in-built information architecture will provide us with the structure to support our information, communication and collaboration needs. In Hadron 8020, we will have the tool we need to ensure that our colleagues are kept up-to-date and equipped with the information they need to support our ambitious growth plans and continue supporting Asda’s purpose of ‘Saving You Money Every Day’ and Walmart’s mission to ‘Save Money, Live Better’.
Cloud2 director, Taran Sohal, said: “Hadron 8020 is the fastest way to deliver a full enterprise class intranet on the market today, with lower staff time and without the risk of failure. There are a number of clear customer drivers that this aligns to: flexibility of deployment allows the business to deliver real value and ROI, quickly, while also encouraging the best practice of placing SharePoint at the heart of IPL’s business to enable them to scale for today’s and tomorrow’s challenges.”
